Prompt: Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt Response: A time I felt connected to nature is when I was walking on a park trail and I noticed a cherry blossom tree off to the side of the trail. It captured my attention so suddenly. I stopped to look at it. I admired the beauty of the flowers. They were so pink and delicate. For ten minutes I stared at them. I ended up taking a photo of the cherry blossoms right after. I framed the photo and it currently sits on my nightstand. Through the appreciation of the beauty of the cherry blossoms, I made a connection with the flowers.

Summary: In class we took notes on Native Americans and the history of their literature.

Reflection: I learned about the details of an origin myth.
