Prompt: In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?
Prompt Response: A time I had to set a boundary was with my sister. The boundary was that if I tell her to do something she must do it. She was not listening to me beforehand when I told her to do things. As her older sister, I feel that she should have some respect for me. I don't want her to take me as a joke. Putting that boundary in place helped my connection with her because we have lesser arguments about her lack of respect for me.
Summary: In class we did the "Mending Wall" assignment on CommonLit.
Reflection: I learned that in "Mending Wall" by Robert Frost, the speaker interacts with his neighbor by working calmly with him to rebuild the wall.
