Prompt: When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Prompt Response: When I am in a mood I do not like, I use three main strategies to change my mood. The first strategy I use is listening to music, mainly upbeat pop music. The second strategy I use is taking a walk, it calms me down. The third strategy I use is breath control, taking slow, deep breaths removes the tension. Using effective ways to calm down an unwanted feeling is important, so that unwanted feeling does not take over you.

Summary: In class we did the "Scientists finally know why icy surfaces are so slippery" assignment in NewsELA and the two assignments "Missing Your People: Why Belonging Is So Important And How To Create It" and "Social Interaction is Critical for Mental and Physical Health" on Common Lit.

Reflection: I learned that ice is so slippery because of the process of frustration.
